Membership

Who Can Become A Member?

There are currently over 4,000 members that belong to the credit union.  Employees, medical staff members, members of the volunteer staffs and boards of directors, retirees, students, and other persons within the structure of Sentara Health System and its subsidiaries, institutions & businesses owned or operated by Sentara Health System or its subsidiaries that provide service by contract, agreement, or affiliation with or to Sentara  are eligible to join Prime Care.  Members that have left in good standing are eligible to rejoin.  Employees of Prime Care are eligible to join.  Eastern Virginia Medical School  employees, Norfolk Psychiatric Center employees.  Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters employees, Shared  Hospital Services employees, and Tidewater Chapter of the American Red Cross employees.  Any employees in the medical field may be eligible to join our credit union.  Family members of current credit union members may also be eligible for membership.

The USA Patriot Act requires Prime Care Credit Union to obtain the following information when opening or adding onto an account:

• Name
• Date of Birth
• Residence address and mailing address (if different)
• *Identification Number (Ex. SSN or EIN)
• **When opening an account for a minor: Social Security Card
